New Labs...Dosage Reduction

for the riba. HGB is at new low of 8.4; wbc up at 2.6. Riba is to be decreased (we have to check if pill can be cut) from 400 2x a day to 200 -1x and 400 -1x; I know hep md is following guidelines of Merck (I'm also on Vic) and Mayo in reduction. No rescue drugs given or suggested. No wonder doing the simplest things was exhausting! Go in for wk 16 vl tomorrow; LFT are coming in at normal range.

Sounds like you're doing well.  Not all doctor's are so quick to prescribe procrit as all drugs have sx's.  Besides that Procrit takes alot of monitoring as well, which means more tests and more money.  IMHO you are much better off with a Riba reduction than adding another drug to the mix of triple therapy.  good luck with the rest of your journey.

Geez 8.4?  Yeah, I'm sure you must not feel like yourself right now.  Stay off the stairs and inclines for now.  Hope you feel better quickly with the dose reduction.  Please keep us posted.
