Thank you so very much for the kind words you all. I continue to pray for the rest of you. I think the rate of SVR is causing a second thought on the bus. We may need to form an SVR bus convoy. Everyone just remember the meds will eventually leave the body and you will get feeling better. Keep your head up and think positive. Water and positive thinking make such a big difference you wouldn't believe.

Great news for both of you, very happy you have succeeded.
My husband and I were both beer drinkers, you know, a cold one after work and maybe a few more on weekends. Anyway, we enjoyed a cold beer. Both of us have quit of course, but after I have been "officially" told I have reached SVR ( I know it will happen), what's the harm in enjoying a few on occassion? You think alcohol can re-awaken the dragon or anything like that? I've never read anything about "social drinking" after completing tx, anyone know?
Another thing. I finished my Riba on Thursday, and yesterday I noticed that when I rake my fingers through my hair (what's left of it), they came back clean!!!!! Before I'd have enough threaded through my fingers I could knit a damned sweater! Good news isn't it???

I drank right up to my liver failed and wasn't diagnosed w/ hep until I was in rehab. I drank heavily most of my adult life, rehab 8 times, but I guess God decided I needed a real blow to wise up and get sober. That and the exceptional man that I married a year before liver failure. E-mail me at ***@**** if you want to hear more. Joni
Congrats on the SVR you two!! I am waiting on mine to come back in a few days.
Honey, I drank quite a bit in my 20s and again in my 40s, I dont know how long I had the hep C, but could have been easily 30 + yrs. My biopsy showed stage 1 Grade 2, which isnt too bad for the abuse I put it thru. Just cant predict what that sneaky virus is gonna do to ya! Auggie
Hey there! I must have missed your post,,,Wonderful!! I'm so happy for you!
Congrats what wonderful news! I hope you have a great time celebrating. LL
Good news. I hope the time to your SVR goes smoothy. LL
Okie-Way to go. Don't ya just love that sound, SVR, SVR!!!!
Greatbird- Better than just B-12, take a B-complex. It is very good for liver according to my Dr. and nutritionist.
Joni
Then I think alcohol can really speed things up, cuz when I first saw a Dr. about my liver it was in Feb. 2002. He was concerned after tests, told me to quit drinking. However, when my liver failed in July 2002, he and my new G.I. were both amazed at how fast it had progressed. Joni
Okie,,,,Great,,Great News!! Those are such sweet words to hear! Enjoy yourself,,,Celebrate,,,Have fun!!
That is great news, no fantastic news. I hope to board the train soon.
Drinking and having Hep-C, as far as increased progression of fibrosis goes, it is like throughing alcohol on the fire to get it to burn more intensly.

hmmmm thats interesting....How many people did drink moderate to heavy before knowing they had hep c and what was your biopsy grade?
I read on the internet that there was some correlation discovered between low levels of vitamin B 12 (which is apparently stored in the liver) and a low viral load. B 12 is important for energy and even ties in with memory so it's an important vitamin. Does anyone know anything about this? I would like to start taking B 12 (it's already in my multi but not in a large amount) but I'm leery of doing anything that might affect my viral load....
Congratulations to the both of ya!!!!!!!
Okie, Nolee: CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!!!!!!!
revenire____: How are you feeling these days? Have any of the sides left you? Good luck to you!
Everyone: My husband is 32/48, he was trying to explain what the meds do to your mind and here is how he explained it to me: "It is like your mind is a Rubics Cube and it is continuously clicking and turning and just when you get one color lined up it clicks again and the process begins again. Click....Click.......Click!" Does anybody relate to that? I just thought I should share that with you all.
LOL

Wahooo! Congratulations! Welcome aboard the SVR bus. We'd better stop this weekend for a dragon-knuckle barbecue, like in the old days. I've got some fabulous marinade. Who'll bring the salad and the desert? It's time for an SVR and coming behind party.
Wow, Jim, isn't it great to KNOW and be done? We're among the lucky ones.

Congratulations to you both. Such wonderful news
Majneni- If you can wait 8 more weeks I'll bring the whole Damn BBQ including the plates and silverware.
Congratulations to both of you! Your good news provides inspiration to continue tx. Wishing you good health and happiness.
Hello everyone. I hope this messages goes out to everyone being on the up side of TX. I just got the call I was waiting on, 6 month post Heptimax. SVR!!! SVR!!!. For those that don't remember me I am/was genotype 2B, 1+ million viral load at baseline, chirosis(sp). I did 24 weeks Pegasys/Copegus/Neupogen at week 14 & 20. I had this family to thank in getting me through the tough times. Thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart. My prayer continue for all fighting or no that have the virus.
Love Peace and Happiness
Rev- What do you think about that post. I know that my progression was caused by both the Hep C and drinking. Can it be that rapid in people that don't drink?
Neal- Great news!!!
Joni
Well I'm going on 3 weeks post-tx and got my call that I'm UNDETECTABLE. Choo-Choo here I come to ride that train.
Sorry I should never make a post right after I wake up.
