Ongoing low grade fever

Last Monday I went down with a terrible flu-like ordeal that had me dehydrating and also ran my fever up to 104.5. Here it is the following Monday and I'm not flu-like stomach wise but am still running 1-2 degees of fever. Does anyone have any experience or insite to this fever? Went to bed with my Advils with 100.8 and woke this morning with 99.8. Am leaving tonite for a Dr. appt. tomorrow (300 miles away) and will be discussing that with them. Just wanted a little ammo b4 hearing what the docs say. Thanks~NM~

I had several viral/bacterial illnesses, one of which upped my temp to 103.2 about 11 weeks into treatment. Keep us posted and I hate that you have to drive so far. Can't your local internist take care of you and call the hep/GI?

I'm sorry I never acknowledged your comments to me earlier, but I did get them and I really like to try and respond to anything directed at me. Thanks so much for the concern and good thoughts, it was kind of you.

Chevy, thanks for the support. You sound awfully busy gal, maybe you better take a breather. hahahahaha, now isn't that sage advice!! When hubby gets home, I promise to leave you good folks alone for awhile, but sure was nice to able to reach out and talk.

Daryl, I felt that hug, just what I needed. Judy is a lucky girl, but I suspect you are even luckier, for her to put up with YOUR antics, Mister! hahahahaha

Best of luck to all, Couch

Neal - sorry to hear about your chronicly elevated temperature. Hopefully your doc will do some blood work tomorrow, get to the bottom of it quickly and it will turn out to be something very minor.

May God's blessing and mercy be upon you.

I would call your doc and tell him/her what you are experiencing. I went thru a period of time like that and developed an infection.....long story, but it can really linger on if not treated. There are so many different sx that each individual experiences, and most are temporary, or come and go, but it is better to check it out, and then you will feel more comfortable with it. Sometimes, these things are only temporary. My body temp. finally "normalized", but I did tend to run a low grade fever most of the time after that. The worry and concern you are going thru can zap your energy....good luck to you.

I am really glad you are finally getting in to see your doc, that long drive sounds like the ones we have to endure, but when a fever persists like that, and you are taking advil etc. to alleviate it, well, you know they only really mask the underlying cause. While it is more than likely nothing serious, and it is definately a good sign that it has gone down, it should be looked at. Have a safe trip. Couch

Neal,,,Yeah,,,I haven't had fevor while on tx. Maybe a few times after shot night kinda achy and feeling warm but nothing lingering. Sounds like you did catch something and glad you are going to dr. Dang,,,,300 Miles?? That is a full blown trip! I'm sorry you have to drive that far feeling bad,,,Let us know!

Ladies,,,I don't know what kind of insurance everyone has/some I know also are on trial but,,,,,I just called my insurance company and told them I was on interferon tx and that my hair was falling out and I was just checking for down the road in case I needed a wig. They said Yes,,,They do cover 100% wig and all I need to do is get something written from Dr or even my family dr saying I had hair loss due to tx and go to a shop and they would cover this soooooo That is some good news if I need and wanted to share this with you all because it never hurts to call and do some checking!
