platlets raised and other posts

My last blood test showed that my platelets have gone from 106 to 131, I started out with 228.  

Is it possible to have the platelets raise while on treatment?  My other stats have pretty much stabilized.  Just find this very strange. Or maybe it is normal.

My numbers were lower, but yeah I swung by 30 pts back and forth -- it would take about a month to make the trip one way, hover, then head back. Take care.

Anise: yes, plt. numbers can jump around quite a bit.
Help/New Problem: On week 56 and have had pretty much total body rash for almost a month. Also, my limbs are swollen and sore.  None of the old rash tricks help at all.  I am miserable.  Is it possible to develop an auto immune like skin disorder?

They bounce around. I wish I had your numbers - ha! But they fluctuate between labs for me. I don't know what I started at before treatment but hanging at 70 now for a few weeks and they had been down under 50. Your numbers sound GREAT! though. Dale

Dale-ray, I am a 2B and I am really thankful that I am only doing 24 weeks of treatment.  I am not sure I would be able to go 48 weeks or longer on this stuff.  Way to harsh of a treatment.  You guys who go 48 weeks must the the consitution of a rock.  Bless you all for hanging in there.

pdilly, thanks for the update on Mr. BB.  I bet he  is celebrating with all of the horrors he went through.

That's a good point. Where is that droppy eared friend. I think his last shot is on June 19th though. He may be in pre-celebration - ha!

You must be genotype 3 if you are on the 24 week treatment. Oh how I wish but I only have 19 more to go. You know for some reason even though all has gone reasonably well and all of my results say I am responding I have no confidence that it will work. Maybe I just don't want to get my hopes up. I couldn't analyze what I am thinking right now even if I wanted to because of the treatment. Dumb as a sack of rocks - ha! You keep plugging away sounds like everything is going great for you. Dale

I BB is enjoying being finishe with tx and from what I remember he went back to Florida.  Hopefully the new hurricane is not going his way.  He will probably surface shortly.

Wow, I guess I am lucky to have my platelet numbers go up.  Since I am doing shot #18 wednesday.  I only have 6 shots to go, so those numbers might not bounce around much.

Where is Mr. BB?  He took his last shot sunday but haven't heard from him.

I should ask, has this happened to anyone on treatment, platelets raise?  Or is this some mistake.  I had been going down, down and down, and last test went from 106 to 131.  

Suggestions, information, anything....
