Why are these old threads on the site?
Hi, this is an old thread, Kalio1 has not posted anything since 2008, if you have a question, or want to contribute new information, please start a new thread. (See Post a Question) in green box at top of forum. Thank you!
Swimming is great, but I'd also find something that is more accessible to do on the days you can't get to the pool. When you start an exercise routine you want to keep it real simple, so as to eliminate the endless excuses we all come up with not to workout. First thing in the morning before breakfast works great. You will find this gives you the most energy throughout the day too.
dats exactly wat i was thinkin. it seems 2 be a little more easy.
Swimming is a great idea. Its the only exercise I can really do without getting exhausted. I guess its because I'm not fighting gravity that way.
thank you all 4 ur replys,
i must get that book, was thinking of joining the local swimming pool, easy way of getting some excercise and having some fun with kids at same time, jamimapuddle ill try the green tea and vit b. dont no bout james brown and shakin my ***, kids and wife would think ive lost the plot all!!! lol.
thank you all again.
Exercise! I know that it's tough with three kids, but it really helps. I have three year old twins and what I did was I bought myself one of those heart rate monitors (to make sure I'm not overdoing it or not doing enough), I put on James Brown and shake my butt all over the house while I pick up the endless amounts of clutter. I actually have a lot of fun with it.
I also drink green tea in that afternoon slump period. B vitamins are supposed to help too.
kalio is right about the nurition factors get the book by Dr. Sandra Cabot titled The Healthy Liver & Book it has great recipes very simple concepts that you can blend in with your kids meal. I have made many eating habit changes since diagnosed and my kids are benefiting from them also I know it can be difficult to with kids but try making a routine I was never much for naps but once I started blending in a 30 min. nap i felt I was not as exhausted and my evenings with the kids went smoother I still have trouble being disiplined with it but it does help
sorry, I addressed my post to sfandwow, I intended it for you!
I think nutrition/diet is extremely important, especially when you have an ailing liver. Eliminate all refined foods, eat as many veggies as you can and stick to a liver friendly diet, you can find lots of them googling.
I take a daily nutritional powder and vitamin and it really helps. If you can eat fresh and raw, most of us just do not eat enough vociferous veggies or fresh fruits daily. The nutritional supplement covers a lot of bases. I use one called Alive, there are lots of them out there.
Keep up your water intake too. Are you on tx? What is your status and condition?
I honestly don't know how you get thru with little ones. The exhaustion can be grueling.
Hang in there.
i dont think there is a really good booster.. I know that feeling all well
