Pollips?

OK So did the biopsy of the liver and found no significant damage ther and blood work seems to be ok, so everything is good..right? Hmmm...maybe not. After the liver biopsy they thought I should get a camera stuck up my rear. I thought sure, why not( did the finger thing and that came back ok) I'm on a roll. so went to have the camera thing done and they informed me that I had 8 pollips and some may be cancerous..(GOOD GRIEF--WHAT NEXT). SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS IS A SIDE EFFECT OF THE HEP C? I am really getting tired of all this. doing great one day...not so good the next. Really wish they would just tell me exactly what I am up against once and for all. Bought ready to just walk away from it all and just let the chips fall where they fall. Need to start treatment one day...can wait the next. Starting to get a little discouraged.

Yes, occasionally, I also have to do my shots at work!

At least once (as I know), my door was slowly opening up and my co-worker was looking at me curiously.

But he did not asked any questions, so I did not give any explanation!

... and so many times I was taking my shots in a car ... but thankfully, my windows are tinted :)

I wish you all the best, my friend!! (and to everybody on this forum!)

Sorry to hear your news about pollops.  Your post is quite timely, I just got back from having my exam and they didn't find any....Phew!  I believe that I've had hepC for 38 years so it hasn't come as a SX in my experience.

Hello my friend-happy to see you post. How are you feeling?I have put off my colonoscopy till I am finished with tx. How are you doing. Still fighting anemia but its getting better. Went for today's shot and HGB up to 10.6. I read your post and I too have just finally accepted this is it till tx is done!! Work has been tough. On road often. We are almost half way!

Your hgb has been a roller-coaster.  I hope thy have it figured out now.  In another post you seemed concerned that you wouldn't get the level back north of 10.  You've taken this route twice, at least, and I hope you don't have to do it again.  Work is cranking the pace up a bit and a lot of it deals with minute detail - sure tests the gray matter.  As it tuns out, worked late on shot night so did the shot at work (nothing gets in the way of med schedule).  I've injected insulin berfore at work, this was a first with the peg.  Anyone walking by would have thought 'ooh a druggie'.  They wouldn't have anyway of knowing how wrong, or right, they were.  Hope stuff on the homefront is going well and that the kids are ok.

I'm glad that 'finger thing came back ok' otherwise the chips would not fall like they should.  The colonscope is a good idea, and if you are in the neighborhood of 50ish, you should be glad that it was suggested.  It was probably as much for colo-rectal screening as anything else.  Nothing much more unpleasant than the 'scope but appreciate that they found the polyps - I imagine they removed them and analyzed (no pun) them.  Since they found the polyps, hep-c nonwithstanding, the doc should have you scheduled for maybe yearly scopes.  Don't avoid them especially if you are moving on to your graying years and moreso if there is a history in your family.  Scopes stink (literally and emotionally) but they beat the alternatives.  Take care of yourself.
