Post Hep C treatment problems

Hello everyone,  my husband is a little over a year out of interferon and ribovirus treatment. He is experiencing many of the same side effects that he had during treatment--exhaustion, short tempered, paranoid, spikes in his blood sugar and blood pressure. Could anyone tell me if this is a common occurance?

I would recommend that both you and your husband read the recent threads on "long term effects from interferon",  "post-interferon long term effects" and" long, long term interferon effects"..   These threads should be easy enough to find, if you scroll back page by page.  Each of the threads has had lots of input from a variety of posters.  You might find some good info there.

I'm coming up on my two year post txt anniversary in November. Although I am still treating for a hyperthyroid brought on by txt, I am slowly coming back to my new normal. I also had a problem with being short tempered. Thought it might be related to the thyroid disease, but it could be a hold over from txt. My blood pressure is running a little high, but don't know if that is from it or not. All in all, I think I'm getting better. Hope your husband does too. Maybe a little psychological therapy might help him? Sometimes we all need someone objective to talk with.
