Post Incivek Side effects

Hey everyone :) Its been a month since I finished with incivek. Those 12 weeks were hell, however I must be honest, the week after I finished incivek was the WORST one ever. I kept on getting these itching attacks everyone (including anal itching), mood swings, nausea, and just fatigue and weakness all over. The itchiness would wake me up, I dreaded showering since it just made me even worse. However, now I feel great! Ribavirin and Interferon is a walk in the park compared to Incivek, well I'm still anemic so I still wanna sleep 24/7 but I'm getting better. For my itchiness, I would put on lotion ALL the time and my doctor also prescribed me some medications which helped a bit. My skin is still super dry :/ but I'm hoping that will get better as time passes by. If you have any questions, please email me at ***@**** since I check that email daily.

Hope everyone is doing well and please dont give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Andrea :)

Hi andream5, my husband is finishing week 16 today, so he completed incivek about 4 weeks ago.  I would say his side effects since finishing incivek include itching (no rash), fatigue, some weakness/shortness of breath, fatigue, dry mouth/metallic taste in mouth, and insomnia.  I think that the symptoms he is experiencing right now (post incivek) are very similar/identical to the side effects he had with previous two treatments.  For the itching, he takes Atavan.  For the insomnia, he takes Ambien.  For dry mouth, he uses Biotene products.
