Post treatment - Sun holiday

I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their answers to my questions. I was realy freaked out by Lloyds You tube video and its this forum that was able to help me make a clear impression and go on with the last 6 weeks of my 1 year treatment. THANK YOU ALL..
My last injection is the 7th of December 2009, We have a familly vacation in early february 2010, about 8 weeks post treatment. After reading some of the comments on avoiding contact with the sun, this has woried me, any comments or suggestions???
Thanks again for being there, this forum is amazing....

My EOT right around July 1 and by the 4th of July weekend I was at the beach enjoying the holiday.  It felt soooo good to be in the sun again!!

During tx, I avoided being in it, not because of a rash or anything, it just felt too hot.  After tx...no prob!

Hang in there until EOT.  I bet you're gonna have a blast on your holiday in the sun =)

If you are sun sensitive you'll know it.  The sun causes reddening and a bumpy red rash.  I was not allergic to sun during TX (went to the beach with no problems) but suddenly developed another allergy that caused sun sensitivity at EOT.  It went away about 2 weeks after I stopped the med that was causing the sun sensitivity.

Just do a test:  Go outside in the midday sun for 15 minutes completely covered except for one place, say the top of your foot, or with one sleeve pulled up to the elbow.  If it reddens, you're sun allergic, if it doesn't you're not.  You should be fine after 8 weeks off meds.

I went to Indonesia and baked in the sun around 2 months post and didn't have any problems. I guess everyone is different, but I was okay by that time.

If you are worried, just use a higher factor.
