Prozac

Anyone have any info on taking Prozac with hepc. My therapist keeps wanting me to take for depression, but I would rather not take anything I don't have to . I figure the least chemicals I put iny body the better off for my liver.

Of all the SSRI antidepressants, Prozac (fluoxetine) is the easiest to get off of post-tx. Take it.

Well, I would ask your liver doctor about it but, are you on tx?  I took a plethora of drugs on tx, including two different ad's and nobody, including two different hepatologists, seemed to have a problem with it.  Of course, my liver enzymes were high as all get out from the time I got hcv in July of 2007 until the time I finished treatment, but then they resolved back to my pre-hcv levels which are extremely low.  teens or twenties, something like that.
