Quant test at end of treatment 17

Been on Harvoni for 8 weeks. At 4 weeks, my count was 22. I am genotype 1, treatment naïve with original viral count under 6 million. Doctor seems to think lab might have difficulty getting accurate count. My Quant at week 8 was 17 and she ended the treatment since she had followed the VA protocol. Am scheduled for SVR test June 17th. What happens then if not at zero? She was vague. I am so discouraged  Any possibility I might still get to zero?

I too am on the 8 week protocol. I have 10 days left. At 4 weeks my VL was <15 detected wich is very upsetting seeing everyone had been undetected at 4 weeks and my baseline VL was 689,594. I was told by both my doctor and nurse these results were fine and meds were working. All other labs are well withing normal limits and basically cut in half 2 weeks into treatment. I have been reading a lot of articles and have been saying it doesn't seem to affect SVR oitcome with low levels of cirus detected EOT. I hope you get the SVR and don't stress too much!! I am sure everything will work out!

I wish she hadn't ended your treatment. Although the latest information says that people with very low viral loads like yours, at end of treatment, very likely will end up with an SVR. Also, there can be contamination of the PCR machine which makes it look like you have some virus left. It would be highly unusual for someone to have a viral load of 22 at 4 weeks and 17 at end of treatment. I am betting that you are clear. Please come back and let us know about your next viral load test. Good luck to you, Soldier!
