Never hurts to repost these #s.
Commitment to Care (800) 521-7157
PegAssist (800) 387-1258
(Thanks to 'Susie2007' who keeps these on the home page of her site.)
The Roche plan is Pegassist - the number would be on their site.
oh hell! people quit pulling those old posts, lol! i'm way too dumbed down by blood loss to notice that its old til way after I've answered when it gets put back into play like that.
I am sorry to keep doing this to her, but my brain is fading again. If you'll post to forseegood, I'm pretty positive she has the numbers of at least one of the drug companies prescription programs. Even in my short tenure on the board I have seen them approve people without insurance in record time.

Comittment to care is only for patients using Shering Plough's HCV treatment Meds. Roche also has a patient assistance program. You can do A google search, can't find my info at the moment, brain fuzzy today. Roche is assisting me with my meds, they are covering the entire cost of the meds. They ship from their pharmacy to your home. if you send me a message I'll try to find other numbers that I have for co-pay assistance and straight out help.
Good Luck

If you are uninsured try the drug companies directly
Comittment to Care has an EXCELLENT program for patient assistance and so does Pegasys.
You can find them easily enough via google.
After 48 weeks my insurance considered my extension to 72 weeks experimental - and C2C paid for ALL of my drugs for the next 6 months (the interferon and riba) and mailed them directly to my house. They are EXTREMELY pleasant and I would start there.
The ribavirin cost will go by how many pills you need to take a day and how long you will be on treatment. Ditto with the interferon (duration of treatment). Then there are other drugs that come into play like Procrit and Ambien and Antidepressants...
If I did not have insurance at allI would try and find a study in my area that could get into. They pay for all of your costs I believe.
YOUR COST FOR RBAVRIAN IS 84 PILLS AT 499.00 AND YOU NEED TWICE THAT MANY FOR ONE MONTH ^6 A DAY 30 DAYS EQUALS 180 WELL OVER 1200.OO DOLLARS A MONTH AND THE INJECTION IS 1700 A MONTH .
