Thanks for this information. I will definitely check the website mentioned by you. In fact, I was advised by some person that I should wait for some new medication rather than taking Interferon. I am not sure whether I have taken the right decision in postponing the available treatment.
Being geno 3 you'd probably do great in one of the new oral trials.
I understand Gilead has some trails coming available in the Fall.

I am sorry that my question was not clear. However, I thank both of you for trying to help me out.
Actually, I got my Biopsy done last year. The result conveyed to me was Stage 1-2 and Grade 2, while I do not know if it was Metavir or any other method. The Gastroenterologist recommended the tx with Interferon for 24 weeks as the virus is Genome3. My levels of WBC and Platelets are low and Viral Load being 110000. Having read a lot of negative news about this tx, I am avoiding to start the tx and have instead started taking Milk Thistle for the last 4 mths. I do not take alcohol, do a lot of exercises, take lot of precautions relating to diet and take lot of fruit juices. Since biopsy cannot be done frequently, I just wanted to know the status of my Liver with the help of Fibroscan but I wanted to ensure if it will be helpful in correct diagnosis in the intermittent stages of fibrosis.
Hope, I have made myself more clear this time.

As OH mentioned ,your question is a bit confusing ,however
A FS scan is the measurement of the "liver stiffness" to fibrosis reading ) as it correlates to the Metavir scale that would be considered from F0- F4
Keep in mind FS is prone to some degree of error (especially in earlier stage )interpretation
(2.3-6.6) F0 -F1
(7.3 -8.9) F2
(10.5- 11.6) F3
>12 F4(cirrhosis)

What Does My METAVIR Score Mean?
The fibrosis is graded on a 5-point scale from 0 to 4. The activity, which is the amount of inflammation (specifically, the intensity of necro-inflammatory lesions), is graded on a 4-point scale from A0 to A3.
Fibrosis score:
F0 = no fibrosis
F1 = portal fibrosis without septa
F2 = portal fibrosis with few septa
F3 = numerous septa without cirrhosis
F4 = cirrhosis
Your question is a bit unclear to me.
If you already have a biopsy there is no need for a fibroscan.
Fibroscan is a non-invasive procedure for determining liver damage.
A biopsy actually takes a tiny sliver of the liver.
