SVR.......DRAGON BBQ

I got my 6 month post-tx PCR results back yesterday.
UNDETECTABLE!!!!!!!!!
YEAH BABY!!
It's a Dragon Knuckle BBQ at my place this weekend. Bring the kids. We'll have dragon burgers, dragon dogs, dragon salad, and,of course, BBQ dragon knuckles. I'll even make up some Tofu Dragon for you vegetarians. The Gatroade will flow!
There will be games. Stab the needle on the Dragon,a Dragon Pinata, cow chip tossing, and cow tipping contests.
I may even invite "The Badger".

When the nurse told me the news I was so excited that I layed a BIG kiss on her. She's about 60 and I think she went into shock. My doc ran away sayin that I wasn't kissin HIM! The Boy Scouts and the high school band are all excited as they have all watched me go through this and appreciated how I still was involved in their activities even though my help was limited during tx. My cat actually moved so I know she's happy too.
I went out last night and tipped ALL them cows. It was a REALLY noisy night in the pasture last night. Hahahahahaha

As a FORMER type 1B my starting odds weren't all that great. Now they have gone up into the 90%+ range. Who says that type 1's can't do this?
At 6 months post-tx I'm feelin good, looking good(matter of opinion), livin large, and lookin forward to evjoying life now armed with my my new perspective and appreciation of it.
So, to all of you who are sittin on the fence moanin about being a type 1,.....wanta be free?....FOLLOW ME!!!!!!!!!!!

(can anyone tell I'm happy?)

Just got back from Spain so sorry to be late in congratulating you on your fantastic news!  You kept me laughing last year when I was going through treatment, in fact you've kept me laughing since too!  I'm glad you are enjoying life, it's like being given a second chance isn't it.  If you ever come to England, you will have to come and meet Britgirl and I at one of our lunchtime celebrations.  Tip a cow for me!

After reading my comment---you can see the brain fog is still there. I can think one word and type a completely different word. You can imagine what my correspondence has been like. Hopefully this fog will lift soon! Tess Marie

Wow Indiana how great! I got goose bumps just reading. You have been an inspiration to all of us. Your knowledge, sense of humor and especilly your thoughtful comments have certainly kept me going. I am 1 week away from the end of treatment, and 2 weeks ago, feeling likes s---, you kept me going. This week wasn't much better, but I can now hopefully see the light at the end of the tunnel. I only regret that I didn't find this sight sooner, as it has been a god-send! I am in Donor Development with M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, have always been passionate about my work, but this past year has certainly opened up a whole new window for me. I now, not only have the breast cancer cause to fight, but also Hep. Your family is very luck to have you & I know they must be extremely happy and turning cart wheels, as I write. Congratulations anad please don't be a stranger to the sight. We need you! God Bless & have some dragon for me. Tess Marie

Geeze.   Thanks SO much to all of you. You all feel like "family" to me. Good wishes from you all mean so much. It truely humbles one to see how many folks really care how you are.

This has been one wild ride for me. It all seemed like it was taking SOOO long while I was in it, but looking back now with a clear head it was not all that long. I think that the "brain fog" makes time seem to slow down. This can be either bad or good depending on how we "play it". We can get stuck in the feeling bad part.....or we can get past all that and get to the fun parts like I did. Realize it's all a mind game and learn how to play that part of it.
It really warms my heart to think that anything I said may have helped some of you to get past your fears and start tx. It's the only way to win this war.
Many of you are "experts" on much of this yourselves now and so you all can answer most of the questions here just fine. I will continue to "pop-in" with my comments and opinions where I think they might help. I am opinionated and sometimes just can't resist.
You are all free to e-mail me anytime about any stuff at ***@**** .

Take care and be well..............

So glad to hear that the kids can now get their bikes out and leave them there.  By the way, badgers can be trained!  Just imagine your own man(badger)servant.  The doorbell rings for the bar-B-que and the door is opened by this furry little Mr. French.  How cool is that!

You have been a solid rock of support and information to all on the board and have levened that with your stories that remind us all that we sometimes take ourselves a little too seriously.  Thanks, and don't be a stranger!

Wow, this is wonderful news!!!!!

I was just diagnosed 7-24 and have an appt. to hear about genotype and viralload on Monday.  I have learned so much in the last 3 weeks!  (much of it from this forum) I really appreciate everyone here and the sharing in all of the ups and downs of living with and treating hepc.  I don't have any idea what's in store for me, but I sure am glad I found all of you to help with whatever it turns out to be.  I started AD on Thurs. and am already feeling better emotionally.  Does depression and hepc  go together?  I think I've been depressed (and didn't really recognize it as such) for several months.  caruu

Go 'head on, brother 1b! You're so far ahead of me you look like a tiny speck, but I'm following (in slow motion, though).
How about some barbecued dragon tail like I had at the Jazzfest in New Awlins long time ago?
