Shot #3

Well readers I'm into my 3rd week of tx, so far so good,my labs are good and my alt is 29. I have not been sick and hoping I will not be. I do expect some sx at some point . I do have a mean cold sore that comes up so often on my face and one has kicked up in the past few days, does tx cause this to happen and could tx help eliminate this cold sore virus .

It sounds like you should have an easy time like, I did.  Pegasys made me a little tired so I could sleep better.  As far as things like herpes and such, they may come out a bit more often, or not.  The treatment won't cure herpes though.  I had chronic sinusitis for five years that cleared up after week 24 of treatment.  My sinus condition has been better for 1.7 years now.

I had very few sx during treatment as I was in the Lambda study. Cold sores were common for me. Seems like every couple of weeks I would get one. And no tx does not eliminate the virus. I still get them but they don't seem to be as bad as before treatment. I would use Vitiman E on them. It seems to help more than anything else. Nice to hear you are having minimul sx.

good going. yes everyone has some sx but many are not sidelined by them. as for herpes i think both types are still active after tx but may be less during interferon tx. my non medical opinion and observation...good luck glad to hear that things are going better than expected.
