I became SVR today and according to most studies this suggest "cure" from Hep C. I want you to know that Hep C is cureable. The best thing you can do for your daughter is to find her a good hepatologist and become more knowledgeable about the disease. I found answers to most of my concern reading through this forum. Take care.

it's a shock to most of us, and with a child especially hard. but you are among friends and we will help in any way we can. Andiamo is right about getting a knowledgeable doctor; testing has to be done to see the picture better and decide the best course of action.
this forum has an amazing group of people who care and who have tons of experience and knowledge.
your daughter needs additonal blood tests to find out the viral load, the genotype etc... and perhaps a liver biopsy.... to stage the disease.... please, please, try to not worry too much ... collectively we have done it all and can give you support and let you know that we are with you in this fight....
another mom
meant to say ask for an appointment.
My recommendation is that you find a major medical center near where you live and call them; as for an appointment with a hepatologist associated with the medical center.
Most doctors simply do not know much about this disease, so your best bet is to see a specialist. Every large city will have a medical center, so hopefully, you won't have to travel far.
