Sides

Hi, really tired, weak, bloody nose yesterday (could be a coincidence) but today I had to put my head down as I felt like I was going to pass out when I stood up.
I have a call into my monitor.
This is week 8 and the fatigue has been off and on, but right now its affecting my somewhat normal abilities, like getting from here to there.  My hgb has gone up and down a bit, but it has been a couple weeks now since I've had a blood draw.
I dont thing the study provides rescue drugs they will just reduce my riba.

Glad you vl is und... sorry bout the hemoglobin, you must be exhausted.  Let us know what the new labs show.
I'm taking 5 riba a day, I think I will just use a cool cloth around my face, I cant think of taking care of a humidifier, there are so many adjustments, we have bad allergies w/ the Juniper and have an air cleaner going all day / night.
It does seem like a long time, Im at week 9 and just thinking about all the peeps that went for so long had so many obstacles,  I'm hanging and sleeping as much as I can.
Talk w/ you soon.
Good luck and good medicine

Another thing a nosebleed can be caused by is high blood pressure. Interferon is known to raise blood pressure in some individuals - I know because I'm one of them. My BP went up a solid 20 points within a week of my first shot... and stayed there.

My doctor and I chose not to treat it since it's not at a dangerous level (145/95), and I would prefer to add as few drugs as possible into the mix.

Might check into it.

Not so good today.  Feel like I am getting an infection in my lungs.  The good news is at week 2 my vl had dropped to <25 but my hemoglobin has dropped to 9.2 on week 4 so they reduced rib. to 4 a day instead of 6 a day.  Labs tomorrow for CBC.  No procrit on this study.  My nose has bleed some too, but not bad.  Very dry here also.  They recommend a humidifier for lungs and nose.  Week 5 starts tomorrow.  Long way to go.
Good luck.

I think the nose bleed was just a "thing" I was really tired, and deydrated and my climate here high desert is harsh right now. So my labs look good, I need to stay hydrated.
I am doing Gilead 9190 GS9256, but I'm here in NM.
How are things going for you where are you in your treatment?
Sorry I didn't see these responses until today.

Someone mentioned to me that we may be on the same study.  Are you doing a Gilead 9190, GS 9256 study @ Alamo research in San Antonio?

We live in such dry climates (Colorado, New Mex) that I used a nasal gel because my nose got so dry, which I believe led to a few nose bleeds.  Good luck.

Mary, bed sure to review platelets; they may explain your bloody nose. Platelets are in part responsible for blood clotting.

Rest up when you can and remain hydrated-
