Sovaldi/Olysio treatment with addition of herbs

Thank you everyone who answered my question and for your voluble response. I am not going to take herbs with my S/O treatment. I started treatment three days ago. Take both pills at the same time right after dinner - no side effects whatsoever or any unusual filling so far.
Please let me know what is the reason to stay away completely from sun? Also if this is OK to take general vitamins and supplements during the S/O treatment?

I took during my treatment and continue to take 500 MG of Vitamin B supplement per doctor's orders

Photosensitivity: Photosensitivity reactions have been observed with OLYSIOTM in combination with P/R, including serious reactions which resulted in hospitalization. Photosensitivity reactions occurred most frequently in the first 4 weeks of treatment with OLYSIOTM in combination with P/R, but can occur at any time during treatment. Photosensitivity may present as an exaggerated sunburn reaction, usually affecting areas exposed to light (typically the face, "V" area of the neck, extensor surfaces of the forearms, and dorsa of the hands). Manifestations may include burning, erythema, exudation, blistering, and edema.

Use sun protective measures and limit sun exposure during treatment with OLYSIOTM in combination with P/R. Avoid use of tanning devices during treatment with OLYSIOTM in combination with P/R. Discontinuation of OLYSIOTM should be considered if a photosensitivity reaction occurs and patients should be monitored until the reaction has resolved. If a decision is made to continue OLYSIOTM in the setting of a photosensitivity reaction, expert consultation is advised.

They checked for common drug interactions but there a millions of OTC and prescription meds out there so they cant check for everything.

Both Olysio and Sovaldi have patient support people who maybe able to answer your questions as well as your pharmasist or doctor those would be good resources of information

For myself I stopped taking a everything except my prescribed edema med spironolactone. I even stopped my multi vitamin. Also have herd recently multi vitamins may not be needed in people with normal healthy diets.

However you feel about vitamins I am confident you can forgo them for 12 weeks and just focus on eradicating your hep c.
