pcr ,genotype result

I had a hysterectomy on Feb 7th when it was found out that my anti hcv antibody test was reactive- the test result reported 5.49.Subsequently an ELISA test was done which reported weak positive-test value 0.423.The gastroenterologist whom I consulted ordered the PCR and genotyping through Quest diagnostics. Both results state not detected. Before the results came the doc had ordered an endoscopy.I would like to know whether I am HCV free.Should i go for the endoscopy. My abdomen CT scan done prior to surgery states liver normal.Kindly advise

Your PCR came back NOT DETECTED.  You don't have hepatitis C.  Your week positive could have just been an error.   Call your doctor and ask why
you would be needing a endoscopy if you don't have Hepatitis C.

Dr wouldn't order an endoscopy based on antibody test and ELISA weak positive-test.

There are different types of endoscopy. These are just some of the reason a doctor might order an endoscopy.
Stomach pain
Ulcers, gastritis, or difficulty swallowing
Digestive tract bleeding
Changes in bowel habits (chronic constipation or diarrhea)
Polyps or growths in the colon
