Non blood razor cut HCV transmition chance

A  french hairdresser in Brussels used razor on my neck and  temple. It  wasn't sterile the hair from previous client was on it. It happened before I  realized how wrong is it.

Later I  asked my wife  to check my  neck.  Hairdresser was very accurate  and there was no visible cuts.  However  skin was irritated  and red  in one  area.  With no  blood  or visible cut but surface damage. 6 howrs later I put salt water on  the neck  and it hurt.

Now I'm worried.

What are my risks?

How soon can I  make HCV PCR  quant. test?
Some sources say  after 2  weeks  some 3.

Thanks a lot.

She  had  nausea 3  days  after  we  had  sex.

Can it be  the  sign  of  recent infection? "

I think you are working yourselves up to being sick over nothing. Your risk of infection is extremely low. A study of nurses who were stuck by needles that had been used on KNOWN Hepatitis C positive patients showed that in spite of definitive under the skin exposure the infection rate was only 5%. Now go back to your situation. You don't know that the razor was used on an infected person, or that it had any blood on it, and you were not cut by it. This is total guesswork on my part, but I would think your odds of infection are pretty close to zero. Hepatitis C rarely causes any symptoms until one has been infected for many years. Its true that a few people get some symptoms during the initial acute phase of infection, but that would take more than three days too, and the odds of your wife getting it via sex with you are almost zero even if you have a full-blown infection, which you can't have three days after a non blood exposure to a razor that might not have even been contaminated. If you continue to worry then get yourself tested, but keep in mind that the antibody test can't conclusively rule out HCV until six months after exposure because it can take that long to build up antibodies in your blood. The HCV PCR test measures actual viral RNA in your blood and is faster (and much more expensive), but even that test can't be used until at least 2 weeks after exposure and isn't conclusively negative until 6 weeks after exposure.

3  days  later I  felt  strong nausea  in the morning  but it lasted  only about 6  hours.

During  days  after  exposure  I  had  sex  with  my  wife.

She  had  nausea 3  days  after  we  had  sex.

Can it be  the  sign  of  recent infection?

I  also  thought hcv  is not easily transmitted  through  intercourse.  And 3  days  after  razor burn  is too  early  to  transmit  virus  because of lite level in the blood.

I'm  very anxious.
