I can tell you mine seems to have cost $1390 because my STUPID insurance company (although it has paid for all my meds and doc appt and tests) deemed my biopsy PRE-EXISTING CONDITION and keeps sending me a bill.

They say that my doctor said it was pre - my doctor said he never said such a thing..........oy vey I swear the insurance companies do whatever they want don't they?

But I keep getting that bill so I think that is what it costs.

Im not sure though so.....I hope somebody else comes on who has more definitive information.

ps I don't know if that is just the procedure or for the doctors as well or anything.  I will try and find out for you - I have to get this taken care of and when I call the insurance company AGAIN.........I'll ask and post to you if they deem me worthy of any answer.  But who knows LOL.

Can you tell I really hate insurance companies?

Maybe this will help... i dunno, but when you talk to your insurance co again ask them what they would need from your dr to refile your claim as a non pre and get your dr's office to send that over. I had problems with a continuity of care claim thanks to a dr claiming he didn't send me to a particular specialist and all he hed to do was fax over a letter to the ins co to clear it up.
Hope it helps.
Worrying ovr ins s*** stinks!

When my insurance company paid for it they only got charged $1,200.  When I was charged privately for one it was over $2,000. Yet another way to scr#w the uninsured. The insurance companies can bargain and negotiate--individuals can't.
