Transmission from barber wiping razor blade with finger?

I recently moved to the philippines and noticed that the few barbers I have gone to, despite changing the razor in front of me, proceed to wipe or pinch the hair from the razor blade with their fingers when shaving me. If they do this for every customer, wouldn't this mean that hep c could get onto their finger and be transmitted onto the next blade this way?

Shave yourself and stop worrying. HCV is not easy to catch.

Anything is possible.  But hep C is transmitted by blood.   No blood...no hepititis C.   If your still concerned don't go to the barber for a shave.

Best to you
