My doctor has recently prescribed PEGINTRON, RIBAVIRIN and BOCEPREVIR,(VICTRELIS). I have Genotype 1a.
Most of the posts I am seeing are old as far as costs are concerned. Is Pegasys just as good as Pegintron? My insurance refused Pegintron. Any information will be most welcome. New to the group.

DEAL compared relative benefits of both, and most interpretations didn’t find any real differences in rates of sustained viral response (SVR).
However, I’m unsure if any of the protease inhibitor drugs have been cross-studied with both flavors of interferon; this would be a good question to bring up with your prescribing physician.
