15-25% of people who become infected with Hepatitis C will clear the virus because their immune systems are able to overcome it. However, those individuals will most certainly test positive for antibodies after they clear the virus. You may be one of the lucky ones, if your antibody tests are, in fact, accurate.

As dontworry and Pat have mentioned, many things can cause elevated enzymes. If you don't have chronic Hepatitis C, then that will not be a contributing factor.

If your doctor is so puzzled by all of this, you need to see someone more knowledgeable as Pat suggests...a hepatologist.

What DWBH said!  drinking alcohol can cause elevated LFTs, Fatty Liver can, heavy exercise, damaged muscles, etc, etc, etc.  Might want to get your PCP to refer you to a good, knowledgeable Hepatologist.

Blessings,

Pat

There are many causes of elevated liver enzymes.  Medication can cause elevation and many other health issues.  You don't have hepatitis C so I would wait for your doctor to do the test needed to find the cause.

Hope this is helpful
