UND after 10 weeks

Hi
I am geno 1b fibrosis F3, A3 ,VL  197000 iu/ml
Made my first PCR test 10 weeks after starting tx and it came out NEGATIVE sensitivity of the method : Iu / ml 50
And of course VL is UNDECTECTED
I am wondering are my chances better now and can viral load go up  during tx again.. And in case or SVR at the end of tx what chances are to be cured final..?
Thanks..

Your chances are better being UND at 10 weeks than not being UND at 12 weeks.  It would have been even more information if your medical team had given you a test at 4 weeks, as being UND by 4 weeks greatly increases the chances of SVR.  It's entirely possible that you were UND by 4 weeks.  Anyway, as it is, being UND by 12 weeks is a good thing.   Aside from being UND by 4 weeks, being UND by 12 weeks is the next marker genotype 1's shoot for and potentially you've achieved both.  Congrats!!

Ride with that as you continue your treatment.  You have a ways to go yet and a number of ups and downs to come.  You're off to a good start and that will prop you up as you go, knowing you were UND by 10 weeks.  It will help as you encounter side effects and the tediousness of treatment to keep you going as your chance of success is more, not less.

Good luck.

Trish

Congratulation to be a responder on the meds not everyone is.

Its my firm belife that if you reach UND you shall also have a very good chance of gettin SVR.

But its a new diseas and the docs hasn´t learn to monotor it to the best for each individual yet but its getting forward.

My ex Zazza told me yesterday shes a geno 1a that if you UND before week 12 the SVR odds is about 80% doing 48 weeks.

Then it depends on a number of factors if you in the 80% group or in the20% group.

Such as BMI ( how fat you are), age , rase. fibrosisstage ,vl, gender etc etc.( I dont know if they also include people how have don dose reduction in those studys which also could be the reason for relapsing )

Good luck fighter I´m gonna save a prayer for you.

ca

PS post a question to dr Dieterich and ask if he think you shall do something about your doses and how long he think you shall tx. just a suggestion.

Congrats on being und by week 10. Your odds of becoming svr (cured) go much higher then the avg 50%. Depending exactly when you became und, like week 4 could be as high as 90%. Your starting viral load was low so that is also a plus.

It is possible for your viral load to go up which would be a breakthru but is unlikely. Best of luck on the rest of your 48 weeks.
