Venting w/ some Riba on top

Week 22 and needing to vent.  I am sick of tx.  So sick of being sick.  So sick of headaches, hacking, RibaRage, forgetting why I walk into rooms or what I am about to say.  Sick of body aches, depression, diahhrea, joint pain, itching, being in bed so much, fear of being with people because of what I might say (I've come up with some real winners and I've gotton to make some extra-special apologies while on tx).  I'm sick of pills and shots and dr's visits and trying to hide my illness with people because of their total ignorance and prejudice about Hep C.  I'm sick of nosy people at work.  I'm sick of anyone, who hasn't been through this treatment, telling me they "understand."  I'm sick of feeling so sluggish and fatigued.  I'm sick of being unable to contribute to life at full capacity.  I'm sick of all the unknowns of this illness, that for all we put up with on tx, there are no guarantees.  I'm sick of being so angry.  I'm sick of trying to conceal that when I'm around others.  I'm sick of many things, but I'm grateful for you guys, because you understand and you've helped me make it this far.  I WILL stay the course because I know I'm not alone.  I know many of have gone or will go through more pain than me.  Those of you who do this for a year (or 72 weeks) deserve a pair of wings and a halo.  Thank you for being here for me through this difficult time and thank you for listening to me and helping me make it through today.
Aiuta
P.S. To new people to the Forum, tx is NOT always like this.  Days 1-3 post-injection are hardest for me and this is day 2.

yes, I am from Florida.  I wondered how it knew...and how it knew I was a female also?

Errrmmmmm.....you don't think there's a chance I signed up in the past and then promptly forgot about it, do you?

Thanks for your post.  It's nice to know I'm not alone in this (though I'm NOT happy you are experiencing similar symptoms).  I agree with the one day at a time idea.  Someone once said something to me like, "I can do ALL things for one day, even if they would kill me for a lifetime."  I liked that.  However we do it, together we CAN get through this, so I'm glad we're on the path together.  God bless you, Aiuta

Great description, that's pretty much exactly what I've been going through too (week 17-18). Amazing the similarities really, very well said. Try and hang in there, I just do my best to look at it one day at a time and don't dwell on how much further I have to go. Hopefully the time will ebb away and before we know it, one way or another, it'll be OVER! Halleleuia!!

Are you at least from Florida? That's funny they gave you a nickname. I know what you mean about the "other" nicknames. I KNOW I am called a few not so nice things around here at times.

Thanks for the welcome.  I went to answer the post, and the nickname was already in there, with no way to change it.  Oh, well, it's an OK nickname.  At least it didn't name me some of the things my family is calling me right now....

I thought I was seeing double. We have a gal and a guy. Cool and welcome! It does say it all, doesn't it? You didn't get to pick your nickname?

"I've been reading your posts since you first came by here and then started on tx. I feel bad about how you got to this point and hope you still have plans to finish earlier than the standard number of weeks. I hope you don't mind me syaing this but I think you have become a tougher and stronger person over the months. Although riba and ifn have it's effects, getting through tx is a test of persistence and guts. You're doing great Aiuta. keep it up - not much longer. Have a good Christmas."

Although I've been reading the forum for a few months, this is my first post here. (I guess I don't get to pick my own nickname?)

Your post about says it all!  I think we've all had days like that, LOL.

Merry Christmas.

Thank you, thank you!  You have shared "the best" rendition, the most honest, the most accurate depiction of tx symptoms.  I did not have this forum when infected and during tx.  I found it from fragmented sources throughout the net.  If I had known the symptoms which you so perfectly stated, I would have been able to cope much better.  You have helped many people be prepared for the very difficult path.  You have not scared anyone because it is very obvious a lifetime of liver dysfunction is more onerous.  As you progress longer into tx, you begin to have more "mind over matter" capability. Nice post!

Double ditto FL Guy's message!
Sorry, I don't have time to write and I'm not as eloquent as FL Guy, but would like to encourage you to continue your treatment and let you know that you are a strong and wonderful person.

Happy, happy Holidays!!!!!!
