5 million is considered a "high" viral load but you have the same chances of reaching SVR at 5 million as you do if it were 23 million. When you have a low pre-tx vl like 500,000 or below, your chances of SVR are better but most of us start off with a fairly high viral load. Glad you're dropping the poundage Rock, but be careful and don't take all the nutrients out of your body with that cleanse just for a couple of extra pounds. You know from before, you've got to sustain a good nutritional level to ward off the low blood demons. I can't prove it, but when my blood tanked at around 8 weeks, I wasn't eating very well and had to force myself to eat - and I mean I ate lots of good healthy foods. Reds & whites came back up - hovering on the low side but haven't needed any rescues yet. Of couse, I attribute that to the 2 toaster pastries in the morning and ice cream at night!! Stay well - eat well - cleanse in moderation!!

A 'low' viral load is deisignated at below 400,000.
Your load is not 'fixed'.
It fluctuaies as you know.
You are fine in this respect,
If you get in the Boceprevir arm of the trial you will have a terrific chance of getting out of this thing once and for all!

The Master Cleanse Diet, also known as the Lemonade Diet, is a liquid diet of water, lemon or lime juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. In other words, you are only allowed to drink lemonade about 6-12 times a day, a glass of salt water, and an herbal laxative tea once or twice a day. The diet was promoted by Stanley Burroughs in his book The Master Cleanser in 1976. It was intended to treat ulcers and detoxify the body rather than lose weight. It has become popular again with Peter Glickman’s book Lose Weight, Have More Energy, and Be Happier in 10 Days published in 2004.

The above post are knocking the cleanse...didnt mean to post that one....LOL
no matter what ,there is alwys someone saying bad things about something...no matter how good it is
We did the master cleanse a few years ago for cleansing purposes.
I did it for 15 days and only lost 2 kgs.
My husband did it for 7 days and lost 3 kgs, which he shouldn't have lost, but fortunately put them right back on shortly after stopping
My eldest did it for 9 days and lost about 5 kgs, which he really didn't need to lose as he was too skinny to begin with. He had a hard time putting it back on for a while. But it helped him with his asthma and his seafood allergy. He was able to eat seafood again, without reacting.
What I'm trying to say is that I think that everyone's metabolism works differently. Some can lose weight with it and others don't. Those two are very thin and lost like crazy, already the first few days. The weight I lost was just the food which usually is in the intestines.
