Some people with hep C (me) have experienced hair loss and rashes that both my GI doc and dermatologist believe is related to my hep C infection. The virus makes the immune system go into "overdrive" and attack the skin and hair follicles. Lichen Planus, for instance is often found in hep C patients. Your doctor should be able to find medication for you that is safe for your stage of liver disease. If he/she can't help, I would suggest seeing a pain management doctor. I wish you the best.
Hair loss and skin rashes could be many things. They are not symptoms of hepatitis c. If you don't have liver damage any OTC med is fine as long as not taken more than the daily allowed amounts.
As far as any other pain meds the best person to ask would be your doctor as they know your medical history.
We here are not doctors and cannot really make any specific medical recommendations. And even a doctor would need to know your history and possible be able to reduce the reason of your pain to avoid the need for any pain meds at all.
