CONGRATS !!!! another dragon DEAD!
Go and enjoy life, you deserve it after 72 weeks of tx
That is SUCH great news !!!!!!! 72 weeks is a major haul. I just finished in May and have a few months to go before my 6 month PCR. Sometimes I think these waiting weeks and months can be as grueling as some during tx.
Breathe a sigh of relief and live life to the fullest. Congratulations !
Heartfelt congratulations on staying the long, long course of 72 weeks, on enduring the long six month wait for your results AND on the happy, happy news we all hope for - SVR.
Beautiful outcome to such a long journey. :)
Very best wishes,
Susan
Seriously cool news. This is an apt reward for a job well done; what a journey, huh? Heartfelt congratulations to you and your family—
Bill
Congratulations on your great news!! The hard road was worth it and you deserve it.
Stay well,
Mike
Congratulations! Time for a celebration!
Congratulations to you from a fellow 72 weeker!
Congratulations! You did it!!!! =D
Congratulations. That's a long haul. Enjoy life without HCV, you must feel a huge weight lifted!-Dave
CONGRATS!!!!! What a long hard journey and you made it with sucess. Happy days for you in your new life being SVR.
Congratulations. Results like yours are so encouraging. I have another 6 weeks to go. My Dr has said, 64 weeks will be perfect from the point at which I was totally undetectable. Just the additional 10 weeks so far has been difficult. You so want to say no more, but at the same time I want the best chance for SVR.
Live long and prosper

Thanks all. I want to wish those still treating a special blessing. And also those that are in that 6 month post treament waiting for that PCR. That was tough too.
wow, I'm so happy for you!!! It gives us all hope!!
I was starting to wonder if it was really fair to suggest extended tx to anyone...so this is great news to hear and great timing!!!
Stay well skersj, long time no see!! Don't be a stranger!!!
Yay!!! I really think we should hold a parade in honor of those that clear after such a long haul (in your honor I'll try to talk cat and the dog into starting a parade around the house).
Be Well!
YAY YAY YAY YAY SKERSJ you have to update the 72 Week Extender Club Thread and put your name with ours! If you don't I sure will! YAY! YAY yayayayayayaay! YAY!

Hey I wasn't sure of the exact celebration date but I bumped up the thread so you can fix the date easily if you want to! :) I just put June 2010 since I was not sure - although I assumed June 27th!
This is FABULOUS news !!! I'm so glad to hear it.
Congratulations!!!! What a sweet sweet feeling! Well done!
Wow!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to you!!!!
Enjoy your new HepFree life!!!
Isobella
That's amazing, the suffering is over! Let the good times roll.
Congratulations!
I haven't been on MedHelp for a long time, but coming here today I was just wondering about you. Wonderful news! So happy for you! 72 weeks does the trick for many of us!
How is your thyroid doing? I just got diagnosed with sub-clinical hypothyroidism, so it does seem like I did not escape this permanent side-effect after all. My TSH went down to 3.0 after treatment, but is now up at 5.16 again two years after tx. This is a warning to all that if you do not return all the way down to pre-tx numbers, your thyroid might not be okay after all.
But I still think it was worth it. Enjoy your hep-C free life! It is so good to not be contagious anymore. :)
Hugs,
Zazza
Wow, hi Za! How cool to see you back again; I’m sorry to hear of the thyroid problems though. I suppose you have to attribute this to the interferon; what a shame. Thanks for stopping by; we miss our math teacher :)

Cool is right...and hello there, Ms. Math!
Great to see you but sorry to hear about the sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Something for all of us to keep an eye on.
So hugs back, Za, and hope all is well with you and your girls.
Regards,
Susan
What does that mean 6 month pcr neg? I'm new to all of this. Do you have to keep testing or does that mean you have been cured? If so what was you course of treatment and was it with new/old drugs. I'm just trying to get ready for my bombshell on Tues. I find out if I'm pos. My husband tested postive but his body killed off the virus (or al least to undetectable amounts on 2 PCR tests over 2 years.
