Damned?

Just got off 12 weeks of inter/riba/solvaldi

6 week after treat test results only partially came back:  alt jumpoed from 127 to 211 and alkaline phosphatase jimped from 84 to 160.

Bilirubin came down from 1.2 to 0.7.

Is the dragon back ya think?  I did take some chinese herbs to detoxify.

Hi  like Pooh mentioned there are a lot of things that can elevate enzymes.  Please try not to worry, easier said than done, I know :)
After I treated my liver enzymes were higher than they had ever been. They tripled, I was very afraid.  My doctor said it would take time for everything to normalize/calm down..
Give it some time.  Try to drink as much water as you can, take care of yourself.

You also might want to hold off on the Chinese herbs, just until everything has settled down.  Your liver is working hard to detoxify all on its own.

Congratulations for finishing tx.  My best to you, Dee

PS: If you do come back DET on your HCV RNA, all is not lost. There are a couple of new all oral treatments which will be available later this year. They have high success rates.

Hopefully you will be UND, but just wanted to give you some hope if it turns out you are DET.

It is always disconcerting to see the liver enzymes go up post treatment. However, a lot of things can make the liver enzymes go up, even possibly the Chinese herbs.

Did you also have a HCV RNA test done to see if you have detectable virus?
If not, I would ask my doctor to order one. Hopefully, it will be Undetectable.

Wishing you an Undetectable HCV RNA and SVR.
