I was diagnosed geno 1A and 1B and did 72 weeks of treatment.  Have been cured over two years now. I live right on the Long Island Sound - can see it right now from my window here at work even but I live in CT.

Believe it or not some of the men on this forum are the most amazing kind loving understanding people I've ever met. I didn't really know that men like them existed before I joined here.  I mean that.

If you have any questions just post them here. People will be glad to write back and some of the older members on here actually are more knowledgable about hep and it's treatment than most doctors are.

Good luck!

Hi ~

I am genotype 1a - but I live in California. I had a liver biopsy done last Friday & am still waiting for the results. I had it done at Stanford - saw my surgeon on Wednesday & she said that Stanford (being a teaching facility) they love to look at things a long time. I plan on calling her on Monday & getting the results.

My last biopsy - done in 2001 I was a 1-1. I hope it is still the same so I can pass on treatment for a while.
