Where is the best price for Ribaviron and PEGASYS

I live in Russia and no little about Hep C - was in a store today and talking to a girl I know a little who works there. I mentioned something about how even some people in Russia now doing gift shopping in the Internet - she asked if medicie is cheaper in Americ and if it cn be bought on the Internet - as it turns out she just found out she has Hep C and in Russia the cost of PEGASYS is about $1,400/month and Ribaviron about $650/month - as she makes only about $300/month she obviously will be doing without these on Canadian sites but all of them I foudn said not available in Canada. I guess most people in America have a lot of money to pay but the way I figure the price here would be over $23,000 for 48 weeks or what she earns in 6 years. I was shocked to see how much the drug companies can charge - I read today that a suspected 40 million cases are yet unconfirmed in China - and of course they also will not be able to try this medicine.

Anywy if you know of a way to get it cheaper I will pass the information along.

Dobry den' metro.  I am sorry to hear that your friend has Hep C.  The cost of the medication for this disease is very high, even for Americans.  Some Americans are able to get free or low cost medications from the drug manufactures by proving that they are unable to afford them.  I don't know if this is an option in Russia but perhaps there is help available from non-governmental organizations such as Doctors Without Borders or from various charitable organizations.  Udachi.  Do svidaniya.

It it is available in the pharmacy's with a Prescription from the Dr for around 1300.00 for Pegasys and 400.00 to 500.00 for Ribavirin. We Americans cannot afford Pegasys many people are dieing because the cost is to much.Some of us are lucky enough to get health insurance at our work. If we did not have the health insurance we could not afford the treatment and many 100,000 would die because of hepatitis C.
