I had a lot of tension and stress. I suffered jaw pain and headaches from clenching my teeth together almost all of the time and while sleeping. My right shoulder and right side of my back (upper and lower) hurt and ached like heck. Aside from the meds what really worked for me was backrubs, heating pads, and shiatsu (you can take a tennis ball and lye down on it at the pressure point of pain, you can move your body around and the tennis ball will "press" the discomfort out, although it is better if someone else does it with their hands, the tennis ball helps if you are alone and really need the release.) With shiatsu, though, the pressure point of application is most times painful because it is deep. But it works. As far as any meds, I only took non-aspirin and slept alot. Good luck to you.
Hey, don't forget the blessed test for cryoglobulinemia twotells keep reminding us about. It doesn't get ordered by every GI.
I also had a cardiac eval and eye exam,I am ok. my hands which have carpal tunnel syndrome have gotten much worse and my hip has started bothering me, the last month(doing #46 tomorrow) or so. I had most of these before tx, so it did not cause them, probably "improved" on them. Hopefully an answer will come from all your tests. dont forget cryo...
Great to hear you're doing so well.
Stay strong.
I take a med called Remeron Sol Tabs that just melt in your mouth. They are really an anti-depressent but help keep your hungry and allows for a good nights sleep along with treating the depression and anxiety this disease creates. Ask your doc and there is a generic equivilent. Thanks for asking and the best of luck to you.....Neal
it is so great to hear from those who arn't going through as many sides...it's so good for those contemplating on whether or not to consider doing the treatment...i wish more of those not experiencing as much sides would post that info...because then those decideing can really get a balanced picture...
sometimes i think the ones who have it easy are just not around here as much as they are probably just doing life like normal...so those who need more support to help them through post here...it can give some people the idea that ALL those on tx will experience ALL these bad sides and that is simply not the case...many on tx are doing just fine with tx...
i've gone 6 months of tx with vary little sides to make a fuss of...
i only recently,(last few days) have been having ALOT of muscle pains and aches in hips, back, body, and various pains and aches in gut areas, and a general feeling of exhaustion...
my dr is doing and schedualing alot of tests (bloods,ct scan, echocardiogram, heart halter monitor, endoscopy, bone density, and hopefully (or not) something will show up as the cause...
advil seems to take the edge off and makes me more comfortable physically,as does just plain laying down...
the really stuburn side for the last couple days has been more mentally...i have been having alot of tension, feeling unsettled, agravation, grumpiness, and headaches...(no it's not pms,Indi,:O)i just went through that 2 weeks ago)...
this is much more than usual and the zanax is better than nothing but does not take it away (i am on .50 -2 mg daily as needed)...but,i wish i knew of something more effective for these type sides (and p.s. depression is NOT an issue here, i have none)...
Anyone have ideas for alot of tension and stressed out feelings...??? IS ANY ONE HERE ON ANYTHING EFFECTIVE OR HEARD OF ANYTHING FOR THESE kind of Tx SIDES? OR HAVE YOU GUYS ANY IDEAS ON CAUSES FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE COMPLAINTS, MENTLE OR PHYSICAL?...
thanks, sandi
