Thank you very much for your detailed and quick answer! 12 weeks it is then...can I asume that becaouse my exposure is uprotected oral sex and hep c is rarely transmited(as I have read) even through veginal sex..that my 12 week test if negative would be good enough and I will not have to test again?
HCV infection can be detected by anti-HCV screening tests (enzyme immunoassay) 4–10 weeks after infection. Anti-HCV can be detected in >97% of persons by 6 months after exposure.
How soon after exposure to HCV can HCV RNA be detected by PCR?
HCV RNA appears in blood and can be detected as early as 2–3 weeks after infection.

"does anyone knows the official facts?"
Doesn't get more "official" than the CDC, for the majority 12 wks is good, however everyone is different and can take up to 6 months for antibodies to become detectable
