Hey kid, we like being rude to each other. That way we can make up. :)
It's that makeup thing that everyone knows is the BEST! ;)
(Wish I could type what I want to here but ... trying to be good right now for a change!)
Thank you for making me smile. I wanted to cry and you stopped it...once again you dirthead. :)
I tried to find it but I couldn't. But as you know, I am a virgin today -- my first day on. (I am actually playing hooky from work). As I posted above, you helped me with the riba rash. My dr (gastroenterologist) said it has nothing to do w/treatment - so THX TO YOU! I hope if I have any other questions to ask you, you won't mind... thx again for making me feel welcome on my first day on this forum -- 36 weeks to go!!!
Don't let it bother you girl, And no remember them words that you ran together showed up. Then a bunch of us had to bury that post. Smile sweety.
Dirthead? Wow...I hope I don't ever become a good internet buddy like Can-do-man.lol. I hope this thing passes with you and MRod. Things like this happen all the time. As they say in New York ( I'm Puerto Rican ) "don't sweat it". Muah!
I finally found the post and I sort of stick by what I said...regarding thyroid testing there is NO NEED to have one randomly because you have brittle nails, lose weight and hair. THOSE ARE common side effects of treatment.
Any doctor worth his salt WILL BE monitoring your thyroid DURING TREATMENT as a precaution ANYWAY.
What we don't want is EVERY NEW PERSON who comes in here saying wow my hair IS falling out, I am losing weight...I bet my thyroid has problems!
I do have the thyroid problem - and the symptoms do MIRROR each other but I would never have known had my doctor not been having me have blood tests all the time.
As you were obviously hyperactive thyroid it is dangerous to your heart - and why you lost so much weight. My thyroid went from hyperactive to HYPOactive and if you do not know yet this is the most COMMON THING TO HAPPEN to a hyperactive thyroid problem - it SWITCHES AROUND and that could be why you are gainning weight so fast so please keep an eye on it.
I TOO HAVE A DEAD THYROID and one would think we are in the same boat.
And I guarantee you some new readers might NOT have known these side effects MIRROR each other and they WOULD have thought perhaps the wrong thing for no reason.
That is all. I apologize for any misunderstanding. Please next time if you are around don't YELL at people who are generally LIVING THROUGH WHAT A DOCTOR IS NOT. They do not ALWAYS know how everything goes believe it or not because they have not LIVED through it.
I would NOT however go against my doctor - but I do question him OFTEN and MANY times he has thought about things and then AGREED WITH MY POINT AND has CHANGED my course of treatment because I BROUGHT UP THE POINT...NOT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT OF IT.
It is my responsiblity to learn as much as I can and apply it to MYSELF because everyone is DIFFERENT and my doctor well he's never had HepC so he doesn't REALLY know it all. I hope he never has to.
