And speaking of Cheeseburger's, I think someone posted that the reason they eat them is because the body is telling them they need the protein."
Oh that one wasn't me..............I eat them cause I LOVE THEM♥♥♥♥
It is FINE to have a burger once in a while. Nobody will EVER convince me of anything other than that. But for all my joking the days of cheeseburgers are very few and far between and always have been. Which I am sure is why I obsess about them!
Like Scratchinghead I've been losing a pound a week too, just cutting down and watching what I'm eating has helped a LOT (and even with the thyroid issues has stopped me from GAINING more weight). A pound a week is just fine by me!
I had a huge cheeseburger for lunch yesterday and I am feeling very guilty no firs or shake however. I had a salad for dinner so maybe the salad offset the burger. I also ate low fat/low carb yogurt this morning. It will be salad for lunch today - if I live that long. Man, that cheeseburger was great!

been losing a pound a week doing weight watchers. Counting points really opens your eyes on how heavy a food is. My custom trail mix bag-a-day turns out is 8 points!
I always had trouble with that line and that's why I'm better off on my spartan diet where I don't have to deal with moderation. For example, three months ago a new burger place opened up during a perfect storm where I just had my cholesterol taken and was just about to start Lipitor. So, what the h*ll, by the time I test again the cheeseburger should be outta my blood right LOL So anyway, I step up and order the Double Cheeseburge with cheese and stuff and a large fries and a cold one. This was on the advice of a guy who said if I only ordered the quarter pounder I might have to go back for seconds. Only problem was I did go back for seconds so that was another double cheeseburger and another fries but I skipped the cold one and had a soda, diet of course. Sort of satisfied but something, of course was missing out of the three essential food groups -- fat, salt and sugar. Yup, the sugar was missing so that brought me to a muffin store where I had a muffin washed down by an ice cream sandwhich and a cup of coffee to keep me away while I digested the whole thing. Now CDM I respect your judgement a lot, where did I go wrong here?
Kind of, but only you were supposed to get it. My neighbor is called D-ick, though.
So good to see you posting, dear guy.
And frankly, I just can't do the pie and ice cream after eating the rest. Getting old.
Port-a-pot
jim...Boy, did I used to love Cheeseburgers and Fries and that thick Chocolate Shake and then more fries and then pie topped with van ice cream....
-----------------------------------
Dang jim, see thats where i draw the line, no ice cream on the pie and you should be ok.
Port-a-pot........ Did you just call your hubby a D.i c k??? :)
Ugggh. I don't know if it's tx or taking anatomy....but I can't eat even imagine eating anything that has skin or muscles. Maybe that's a good thing though??
LOL!! Thanks for the chuckle.
Hubby doesn't love ****'s Place, he loves D-ick's Place!
My poor neighbor D-ick is also known as ****, although it's a mouthful to introduce him: Asterisk, Asterisk, Asterisk, Asterisk and his wife Marion.
My husband loves ****'s Place but we only go there a couple of times a year.
Some people say don't go to ****'s because their beef burgers suck but he dreams about them.
And the fries and chocolate shake in the old-fashioned container are heaven for an older fellow like him. One or twice a year may feel like heaven but hopefully won't send him to heaven on a permanent basis.
mmmm.....my body is telling me there's protein in that whipped van cream and to go for it!
