Over the last year, my highest ALT was 17 (currently 14) & my highest AST was 16 (currently 11), viral load 4,057 & unknown genotype (also AFP ranging from 20.9 to 15.1 now).
My highest Alt was in the 900's, from memory about 960. I was one of the rare few who got acute Hep C symptoms, this was about 4 months after infection. I had zero energy when my Alt was that high (my urine was blood red), I could not even focus on watching the TV. I wonder sometimes if that is what dying from liver disease would be like, basically losing your personality or who you are for a nothingness void? A good reason to try treatment:-)
Anyway, I am 7 months into treatment now, ALT of 23 (I was UND at 4 weeks), so looking good. I think Alt is linked to all sorts of factors (age, etc.), so I am not sure how much it means to compare different people.
Highest ALT 113 Current 60...... Highest AST 46 Current 46.........VL 8,500,000U/ml constant.......geno2b WHY??????
Add in viral load and genotype
i can not see how this will benefit anyone without other stats? anyway my highest alt was 68, ast always in normal range. currently alt 50, ast 30
