low viral load

what (if any) are the benefits of catching this disease early.
my viral load was 899. i am female type 1a. doc said that there was no need for liver biopsy just yet. was curious as to how successful tx would be for me "long term", are my chances at svr any higher, since they caught this early? also, i have taken shot # 8 with few side effects. never been sick to my stomach. I have however, been experiencing "forgetfullness" and they just called me a "pitbull" at work cuz i guess i am known to "bite your head off" with out any notice!!!
(i think THEY are over-reacting!!)
anyways, thanks for any insight!!

Viral loads fluctuate constantly. You could take a test one hour and then an hour later and have different results. I am wondering what makes you think they "caught it early?"

Was 899 the viral count at the last pcr before you started tx or is 899 the number after 8 weeks?

ALS, THE DOC SAID THERE WAS NO NEED TO DO BIOPSY BECAUSE IT WAS 899. SHOULD I GET THE BIOPSY DONE SINCE THEY FLUCUATE? I HAD A TUFF TIME AT FIRST WITH THIS DOC BECEAUSE I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE. DO YOU THINK HE IS PUTTING OFF THE BIOPSY BECAUSE OF NO COVERAGE?/

Viral load at any point in time doesn't correlate with liver damage so not sure what your doctor means "by cathing the disease early". Maybe he is drawing on something other than viral load, such as a recent exposure or maybe some acute symptons such as jaundice, etc.

That said, low pre-tx viral load is associated with a better chance of a successful treatment. Your pre-tx viral load is very low so you should be grateful in that regard.

I assume you haven't had a viral load test yet? If not, you might want to ask for one now instead of waiting till week 12.

All the best,

Biopsies are usually not done during treatment. When you finish treatment maybe you can have a consultion with another liver specialist (hepatologist) and revisit the biopsy decision.

At least get some AD's or your be yelling bs at em.
If your young and fit your liver could still be good, low
numbers, easy to treat if your wanting (yes) to treat. Otherwise
you could eat good, no booze, take milk thistle to filter stuff going into your liver and just wait for something not as tough
(like current treatment). Just wandering, good luck.
