can u help mee plz

hi all .. my name is elina m 18 yrs old .. my cousin has hep c .. he saw me at their house the other day he kissed me on the cheek i noticed some wounds on his cheek i did not care at the time .. but my other cousin told me .. he put his cheeks on urs n it had wounds n then u touched ur cheeks n touched u might get hep c .. can i get it or just my other cousin is crazy like i thought when she told me .. god bless u all

Well I will say it again......

If only more money was spent on educating people about Hepatitis C these questions would not be asked. It is really no fault of the people asking these questions I think most are really scared but don't know any better.

Some of that HIV money needs to be used to help educate people about Hep C,  starting with kids in school. Then and only then will this stigma be lifted.

Your other cousin is crazy.  Hep c is transmitted from touching his blood to your blood.  Even if his wound was bleeding, your face and eyes were not.  There's no way his virus could enter your body.  Your other cousin is making his life more unhappy by telling everyone who touches him that they can contract his disease.  That is very cruel.
