banding of varices

I recently had some varices banded in my esophagus.  I still feel some discomfort and pressure, especially if I bend over.  Has anyone had this procedure done that could tell me what the common after effects are?  Thanks.

Hep C STG 4 for 5 years. Having more symptoms all of the time varicies has shown up in an exam and tests, please someone explain this to me? My platelets continue to roller coast and of course bleeding is an issue. My abdomen looks like a map of blue veins extremely thick and wide in size clumped together.
So, is varicies more common in the throat? Where can it show up? What are the complications?Thank you. Elsone

Had several done a couple months ago. The pain and irritation lasted 11 days for me, especially when swallowing, but got less and less daily. It depends on how many rubber bands he put on each. You will return to normal.

I would keep an eye on the pain level. If after 10 days or so it doesn't get better, see your doctor...
