New York Girl any 4 week pcr post treatment results yet?

I'm curious because I too am doing the 72 week marathon.

I think she's hiding. LOL. Yes, she should get the 4-week test now but I think she's a bit nervous about it which is normal for everyone. Go get your test Debbie, we're all routing for you !

I took my first test at week 3 post treatment. Being the compulsive neurotic I was while treating, I was tracking my blood sample from the lab where it was drawn to the special lab in Cupertino, California where they were running the test. One particular test was only run two days a week and therefore I knew when my results should have been faxed. Nothing arrived that day and further investigation showed that they were re-testing the sample. Well, I figured they only re-tested positives and not negatives, so for the next 24 hours I was a basket case. Everything turned out OK but it was very nerve racking. Don't recommend anyone to track their blood sample as closely as I did. The result will be what it will be, regardless.

I'm going to go on Tuesday for the test.

Yes yes yes I've been putting it off.  Not as much because I'm a chicken (although YES I AM!!!) but because really if it comes back positive there is nothing I can do and THAT will drive me CRAZY!

I will want to begin retreating IMMEDIATELY before this poor pathetically run down body has a chance to recover. At about 5 weeks post I am starting to feel pretty good and I sort of look like a human being again and not a flaky, greyish, balded huge head, big eyed alien!

Since there is nothing more I can do about it right now...I've sort of adopted a relaxed feeling about it right now and have been just going to the gym after work and blowing off the test.

I have to go work my first beauty event in NY City this weekend since I got sick.  I will be doing it right after that.

Regardless - I'm glad I did the 72 no matter what.  My liver had a VERY long time to relax from the constant barrage of enemy agents attacking.  I hope that has brought me down at least a stage...that makes me feel great.

(Of course, I'm putting off a biopsy too! I'm b-a-d!)

What week are you on now?  I haven't spoken to you in a while and just can't remember that stuff unlike some of the brains in here...mine all leaked out a long time ago ;)

I will be watching and hoping for your success in your next blood test!

I am also doing 72 weeks (am at 59/72) and know I will be very nervous getting the first Post tx pcr.  My doctor said to just get the 12 week test not the 6 week test because the 6 week test can give you false hope, but at 12 weeks you can be more sure.

Best wishes

I hope that you continue to have a good post treatment experience and that you stay SVR.  Keep on trucking!
