During TX I kept the woodburner going nonstop BUT the few time I was able to go out to the kennel (and once to see the neighbors triplet sheep babies, on the quad) I never felt the cold.
Now, the night sweats are a different story, woosh covers off.......sweating...... then, woosh......covers back on, freezing. We had somewhat seperate sides of the bed with more or less covers.

yeah chuckles would help if person who said they would help would understand a bit more im getting more headaches of mine than treatment its self
Thanks Bill for posting the link to that thread.
Chuckles...no, you're not being a baby! Being cold all the time puts one on edge and makes the muscles tense up...there are a lot of us who have been through what you're talking about and it's not fun. It makes it even worse when a significant other doesn't seem to understand but that's pretty common too.
Hang in there -- I took shot no. 45 last Friday so I'm just a step ahead of you. We'll get there. :)
I probably AM being a baby. I only have less than 5 weeks of Tx left. I've made it this far and I can surely make it the rest of the way. It would be nice though if the person who is supposed to truly care for you were a little more supportive. Before treatment we expected that I would be really, really ill, for the first little while anyways. That didn't happen and I guess that it really diminished the side effects that I was having. She was expecting puking and the runs, shaking and talking to myself and all I got was chills and skin rashes. It seams to me that my side effects are getting worse as time goes on. More rashes over larger parts of the body, more chills, more headaches, more backaches. I will truly be glad when this is over.
Read the post by johnny4141 from a day or so ago entitled "Constantly freezing cold and can't stand it." Maybe you can print out some of our responses and show them to your wife.
The temperature that makes me comfortable ends up making my husband uncomfortable and we just go round and round. Finally, we had to start sleeping in separate bedrooms for the time being so that we can both get come comfortable sleep at the temperature we both need. (The plus for me is that I also get a break from his horrible snoring).
It's hard for people to understand what we go through on treatment no matter whether they are menopausal or not. They just can't understand how it goes through every single cell of your body and is just over powering.
Is there any chance you can get to a store and get a heating pad? Chances they'd be on sale right now - my mother got one for me and man it became my best best friend. Or do you have even a heating pad? Before she got me the blanket I used that.
Treatment make everyone grouchy (thats the nice word for it) and it sounds like you don't really get all the understanding that you should be to start off with so you are going to have it a bit rough. Does she understand that this is chemotherapy? Sometimes that big word helps them to understand a little bit......but usually all family members need to be reminded. They have the best of intentions but don't understand..
Get used to having everything blamed on TX and try to grin and bear it. Women have been having everything blamed on hormones forever and it's really aggravating. Funny to fantasize about being unsupportive back. I know the feeling.
Poor temperature regulation is directly related to anemia. You may be fine sleeping in longjohns and wearing them under your clothes during the day. There are also some neat mattress pads that will heat up and offer dual controls so one side can be heated and the other not. As long as your hgb is low, you're going to be cold. Get that winter stuff back out.
