confused Hep B

Can anyone on the hep C section awnser the question I posted on the hep B section? I took a friend of mine to his doc today. And he allowed me to go in with him where his doc told him he has Hep C ( everyone out here has it, so it seems my neighbor is yellow, alcohol and his live in uses drugs) However his doc did not adress hep B. I told my friend to get a copy of his lab results and I posted them on the Hep B community area  under Confused Hep B?  how bout it nygal, bill, dave portann anybody? we could call but. They wont give that info on the phone and its an hour away. Now I will try and find him a doc. not mine because I dont even like him . plus that med facility wont take him. Im looking because 4 all his other med. needs I have been able to find him a specialist quicker than his doc.  Thank You

Im also a little concerned about him getting tx for his hep C, since most people or alot of people wind up getting diabeties and other stuff as a result of tx? I wonder what type of diabeties they get? Shots , meds or diet? I Wonder if interferion is right for him? (like viagra). Is he a prime canadate for stroke? Has anybody else had Tx with pre-existing insulin dependant uncontrolled diabeties?  I suspose in a perfect world a good doctor would be the person to ask this question. But I dont know one. And my vet is not knowlegable enough he said. I asked him to treat me. lol. But really. Also told him my doc said to get on internet. My vets have taken up to 45 minutes of their time to tell me why all animals are getting cocidiousis this year (only the horse is immune) and the parasites are getting harder to treat around here. My mind blew up - but I know now.

I have a job interview tomorrow. Yea. its not much. but I hope to be able to pay the morgage. I feel like crap every since I found out I had Hep C. It cant be a coincidence, yet ive never been a hyprocondriac.  I always said if I had cancer and was dying Id rather not know, because it would make me feel like crap and ill. I guess I was right. I think its all in my mind. Atleast I have other people to worry about. and stuff. lol

ha-ha your funny.lol. Ok friend isnt yellow or sick, well sick but with many things not the hep thing. Neighbor is the yellow dude and his ol lady is the i.v addict. friend has done his share of drugs, Im sure (not now) He just quit drinking and It is my hope he will stay off them both. I told him every beer is like drinking poison. Plus he has real bad diabeties, hypotension, has had a stroke (I wonder if that was dope related? or diabetic related?)dycypers contracture, and the list goes on. He definitally has the hep c. You are right about the docs. nobody cares about your business like you do. exp. my neighbors lein was showing up on my prop. I needed a loan. I could of waited months for them to straiten it out. Instead I straightened it out in 3 days and got my loan. I told him we need a doc to tell him what geno type he has. I dont know what geno 1 I am because my doc didnt tell me and he is not around/avail till later in the month. We need to figure out if he has hep b or not and if he is a carrier. Diabeties makes thinking and facts hard for those with sugar leves going up to 500 and down to 39, I think. So Im trying to help him out. exp. he was going to take his hole dose insulin  prior to surgery w/no food. I spoke with his doc he said half dose. He wouldnt of even bothered to ask. He is not that good at taking care of himself. So ill pitch in. Now I gotta learn more about the diabeties, because hes had it 30 yrs. and dosnt seem to really grasp the fact that he probally shouldnt take a dose of insulin and skip breakfast lunch dinner and snacks.  Thanks NYGirl 7.

PS it really is imperative that your friend stop drinking and using drugs if they are to do treatment to be cured of the hepc.

I read your post and I'm sorry I honestly don't understand the gobbledeegook of it all - I'm hardly the science guy around here I'm more like the cheerleader that falls down (but tries hard).  It said non-reactive and then HepB positive so I don't know.  I just didn't want you to think you were being ignored or anything......you never know what people think on the internet so I wanted you to know it wans't that!

I'm sure one of the other guys will know - you know you should get your friend to call the doctors office and ask for the nurse practitioner since they already gave you the results they should be able to EXPLAIN it to you.  I got notified in a damn letter from my doctor (who said she called 'several' times but ooops why didn't my work or home voice mail get that) and she was an idiot.  If a doctor doesnt have time to explain results of tests to you...............it's best to move along anyway right?

I mean what do the results do if you speak English and they are in Chinese?

Sorry I have been busy working this afternoon (shocking huh!)  ;)

Will try and go look at them although I admit I know very very little about hepb at all.  If he just got hepC then he could be jaundiced from that - usually that will happen in the active stage when someone just gets the disease that they have the drastic symptoms.  I never had any but my xhusband did and I saw pictures of the drastic weight loss and everything.  Is your friend sick or just jaundiced?

you will find that you can accomplish much more usually quicker than a doctor because in any kind of treatment you care more than they do. Not that they dont care at all but.....they have other patients.
