Are migraines a part of the norm for hep patients?

I woke up about 3 ths A.M. wil a migraine again,do many of you suffer from these demons? I"ve had them for ever but while on tx. no migraine then 1 yr.post they came back with a bigger punch than before,I have medication for them that does help but doesn't get rid of them.  And to Chevygal55 and to Revenire thank you so much I thought that this form could only be used for med. questions and answers, not for general help or making friends, that is what I get for doing my own thinking again! It really does help to have someone out there that can give advice, yes my friends were very helpful but I am now in a different state so the only support system I have now is my husband. I have meet very few people I just don't get out that often my home is my safe house. I don't have to pretend I don't hurt or don't feel good here, espically when I am alone. I try and put a better face on when hubby gets home and keep the home front clean and nice for him. I could go on but you al know the drill, anyway thank you for being there for someone who is mainly alone here . thanks Shirl

:)

I'm 1 week post tx.   I have had migraines bad for about 10 years now.  When I say bad I mean frequent. While on treatment they have been worse. Mainly while hypo thyroid. I've had a migraine every day for a month and 1/2 now except for about three days. I know this is unheard of but Hey thats me. Maxalt helps. Before tx I would get them about 5 times a month or more. My Dr has been treating me for them for about 9 years.

Good luck and God Bless...

Nurse is in the porcedure room until 1:30
They're going to have her call me.

I would have thought my blood work (CBC) would be much better being one week post tx. My husband asked me last night if I could be having tx withdrawal.  I know it sound crazy but have you ever heard of it? Had to take a maxalt and sleep with a ice pak on the back of my neck/head and a cool cloth ont he front. Felt better this morning, got up about 5 am and it started back in by 7am.    Uuhhhhggggg.

Yes, we are withdrawing from the tx.  For some it takes up to 6 months to leave our bodies.  I'm 4 weeks post tx and feeling great compared to how I felt the first week but I still have a ways to go.  So don't worry it will get better in time.

Thanks for asking... I wish I could say I was doing good but I'm concerned by the way I feel. My head is so fuzzy and kind of light headed with a headache at the same time. Headache goes into the back of my neck. Can't shack it without the maxalt and too much of that is bad. Got any ideas? I was thinking about calling my GI and asking for a CBC. Not sure want to do.

Great news you got there!!!!

Hi, I have had migraines most of my life, more than 10 times a month. Ihave spent 10 days in bed before imitrex. I am now post menopause so they subsided a lot. Now that I am on tx I get the worst headaches sometimes that last for days. Can't keep food down, light sensitive etc. I think these are chemically induced migraines as they feel a bit different than my 2 other types of migraines, classic and cluster.

Hope you are getting some relief! These are the worst! I do have them more when my ANC and WBC was low. The Neulasta didn't help much either.

I've had migraines since I turned 13 or so, during tx. great relief no migraines but oh well the beasts are back. Holly I do take Maxalt that keeps my head on but doesn't get rid of the pain totally.  Hey Beagle, I have been out of tx. now for 2 years, the first 3 mo. great then the virus came back, stronger it seems than before my viral load is alot higher than it was before I started tx. the first time. My hair has grown back in only instead of being red it's all white, grey is slow burn out white well go fish right. I suffer with the flu like **** everyday in one form or another, fibro and constant pain in my arms and legs, I oould give you the complete rundown but we all know the drill.  I have signed up for a new study to be help at UCLA as soon as the FDA gives the new drug a name, which could be any where from a month to a whenever. Until then I deal the best I can .  I will say the last 3 months of tx. I had more energy and felt so good, then the 2months following were ok but the following month I knew it was back even before any blood work just felt it and hell-o yep here we go again. Thanks so much . Just caring means so much Shirl
