Does your Dilantin have Phenobarbital in it? Dilantin sometimes has a long acting barbiturate mixed in it -- like Phenobarbital. Barbiturates are almost as toxic to the liver as alcohol. A long acting one like Phenobarbital (36 hours plus) really puts a load on the liver. It's just a theory that this is the source of your enlarged liver. Ask your doctor and see if Dilantin comes without Phenobarbital and how that would influence the effectiveness of the meds. Also, dilantin is an old medication .. there must be something newer out there.
If your medication doesn't have that, sorry to waste your time!
All the best.

i think i have heard of that from dilutin too, but who knows for sure if that is the cause of enlargement? has he done various tests on you to rule out other causes?
why not get a second opinion from a hepatologist? make sure they have tested for other reasons for enlarged liver like hepatitus c.
i pray you get the answers you need so you can be safe.
i have been tested for hep c do not have been tested 10 times thank god
