discoloration at injection site

I took my second shot today and I noticed I still have a slightly darkened spot about 2 inches around last weeks injection site.  I didn't inject into the same leg this week, and  I didn't have any swelling, itching, or anything else last week.  After a couple days I noticed a darkening/reddening of the skin around the site.  It's just a slight difference.  So little that if I try to take a picture the flash washes it out.  I will try again though.  Has any body else had this or know if I should be worried about it?  I'm not worried about how it looks, I just wanna make sure it's ok.

I had shot site reactions only while I was on Incivek, and at first they looked like the start of a rash. They went away once I was off the PI

Make sure you are doing your injections into the fat layer and not into muscle or if in the belly, not at your beltline. This will help ensure a controlled release of interferon and help to keep a steady blood plasma level.

It can stay dark for the whole treatment. Mine got ugly on my belly since I moved it around week to week. I thought it was permanent, but now I can't even tell where the injection sites were!

I did have the kind of skin reaction when I used
to go in to my clinic, and have the Medical Asst.  give me the injections.
Once I began giving mthem to myself, I never had the reaction anymore. But yes, it is very normal to have the reaction that you described. I always used my stomach though, beause I had a nie little spare tire there~
