no way it would be too hard
no way it would be too hard
Hey girl! i was worried about you big time, is your daughter home yet?
When is her PCR? we miss you lots. stay strong.
did anyone calculate the algorithm for that odd wt loss of scott?
HI girl, consider it done! :) Love ya! Prayers too! Cindee
I lost 25 lb in 48 weeks; got about half of it back in the first 12 weeks out; but it went to other places... gravity is our enemy here.
After tx I was just ravenously hungry, and everything, EVERYTHING tasted soooo good. The see-food diet kicked in... so now I'm trying to lose; it was so great for a while. Now was that the Jeckyl or the Hyde time...
Hey you, have you heard from LVDBYGOD???? I e-mailed her one nite, and then I came on the forum and you were asking of her? I went back and e-mailed her of your post...well I goofed her e-mail addy up!!! But when it came back...I changed the e-mail to the right one and send it...it never came back. And that's the last time I've hered from her... I know she said she would be selling fireworks!!!!!! So maybe she's working. And I would imagine that someone would have to stay over nite at the building to protect it. If she e-mails me I'll tell her again. BUnches of ((((HUGS))))))) Cindee
LOOKIN UP!!!!!! Way to go!!!!!! I wish for you to clear this nasty ole virus!!!!!! Much love @ many prayers, Cindee

HOLD THE PHONE HERE!!
If you lost all that weight in THAT area, we may need to renegotiate our wedding contract. NO WAY I can ever get married to a Needle-D-ck! Maybe Enzyte or something could help.
I will search the web for answers to my lovers problem..........
are you sure you could afford that?
Don't you know,,,,when you write "don't read if offended" that it will actually draw everyone to this thread LOLOLOL Probably most read post by end of evening! And,,,I wasn't talking about that kind of pocket carrying....LOL
Too much information. (Just kidding) Enjoyed the post.
Will do! This site would not be the same without you - you are a precious jewel, and I plan to hang around to compare notes. And hopefully I can contribute my knowledge 'earned' and peaceful thoughts to the newbies. I honestly found lots of good on my hard 48 week journey. Someone needs to write a book about this misunderstood and ignored liver disease from a Hepper's point of view. I've had to define Hep C a ga-zillion times in 48 weeks. I've had people walk away from me, people can't help their ignorance, because they havn't been told. Hmmmm, wish I kept a journal.
Hey, and I hope this hyper-thyroid thing I have lasts another 20 lbs.....To toot my own horn, I'm starting to look pretty darn good at 50 yrs old!! I'm blessed to be a cancer survivor (2000) & hopefully HCV too!
YIPPEE!!!! I'm getting my life back!!!
I don't have a real horn to toot - guitar will have to do, and I'm a'singing loud & clear!
Love & prayers to all!
Lookin-up
Same thing happened to me when I was circumsized..hehe..
Stevo..
Penny,,,,You lucky thing you!! LOL I'm dancing and hollering for you,,,,You are through!! Great news...Keep us posted..
Gonagetbetr,,,Hey there,,,You have lost 25 lbs in just 3 weeks??? Ohhhh wow,,,,What does the dr say? Hope you are feeling good and try to eat as many fattening things as you can! LOL We might be carrying you in our pockets at the end! Take care!
I started tx on june 11th. since then I have lost 25 lbs. most all of this weight loss i attribute to the fact that my diet has changed dramatically as I no longer eat or drink soda, caffine, red meat or salt. just water fruit and veggies with a few popcycles and cereal. a girls got to have a little something sweet :o)
has your hubby changed his eating habits or is he having pain and possibly vomiting to try to alleviate discomfort?
I really think that between the stress of his dx and the anticipation of the tx he probably has stopped eating and drinking the things he use to. or at least in the same quantity.
I am however NOT a doctor and think that you should follow up with yours as soon as you can. especially with the problems that he has with his blood pressure.
best of luck to you and your family
I lost 25 lbs in 5 weeks and my Dr. sent me to a thyroid specialist for Hyper-thyroidism (not hypo-thyroidism). He said that it is from the interferon & put me on new medication and it should stop with tx. I had not changed my eating habits & for sure, hcv tx did not make me lose the weight. My thyroid was working over-time, that's all. There's a good chance that you have the same thing....I'll be praying for you - let us know.
HEY EVERYBODY --- I FINISHED TREATMENT JUNE 25th!!
Took my last handful of pills last Thursday & probably my last Procrit shot today. I see the Doc on Wed.
I couldn't post for awhile, because my computer was down & we now have a new email address, so I had to change my name to "still-lookin-up". Yep, that's me...it used to be just lookin-up.
I want to thank everyone who encouraged me - Gobs of you did it without even knowing it. This site ia a God-send, and I am thankful & so humbled by the caring nature of most of us Heppers. Thank you all & thank you Jesus!!
Chevy, you're right behind me on tx, aren't you? This is a wonderful feeling.....ding-****, the dragon's dead!!! Hear me ROAR!!! Ohhhh, my husband & I still havn't figured out a good way to celebrate, still brainfog on my end, I guess...I'm sure that I haven't forgotten how to have fun....I've been racking my blurry brain! HELP - any ideas are welcome! Heh-heh, this could spur on some goodies!!
I love you all & I'm still lookin-up!

PS, I'll be still lurking, giving my 2 cents worth now & then, and activly praying.
Oh, joy, joy, joy!!
hahaha One for Jekyl and one for Hyde!! LOL you just never know right? My hubby has lost 20 lbs since starting tx and he is at week 28 so praying he looses no more! He started 186 and now 166... Seems like men for the most part lose more then women,,,Maybe because in general they have a heartier appetite and when starting tx,,,,don't eat near as much.
It is a definite possibility you should check out with your doctor. Pronto.
are you having any type of gastrointestinal distress such as cramping, nausea, vomiting, loose stools? before i began tx, I would get bouts of severe cramping with loose stools and vomiting all at once. hard to do both things at once...if the wt loss is not related to eating changes, exercise or GI distress, could it be the stress of worrying about HCV?
Stress seem to make for subtle metabolic changes. hope you get some answers.
I know that being on treatment can cause a big drop in weight, but I didn't know that HCV did. I imagine that if you've had a lot of bloating that eating could make you more uncomfortable, which might make you not eat as much, thus, losing weight. Maybe somebody else could elaborate further. I think that hepatitis can make your appetite not as good, too.
