I agree about the electric blanket...it made the early winter months more bearable. I didn't take it off my bed until June. That and Smart Wool socks...kept my feet toasty warm. It's summer here now but like Meakea, I still wear a hoodie most days, especially in air conditioned buildings. Mine has lessened with time.......well, until next winter again, I guess......
The best best best thing you can get is an electric blanket. I didn't have one and was using my little heating pad..........then my mom went out and bought me one...........oh my GOD tears it felt so marvelous!
yes that is how it is here lol. the bird sammie has a hut that swings looks like a fluffy material (green) she goes in there and all you see are 2 beady white eyes peeking out at you. if i don't give her a piece of carrot and apple in morning she screams bloody murder. i found the owners and they insisted that we keep her as they were in the process of looking for a good home for her, i told them how this bird was like a Godsend since i have been sick, and i am enjoying playing with her, and i think we are slowly bonding. i also have a black shiitzu, and bishon, these animals are so smart and loving.
I have to laugh because my hubby is running around sweating and I'm running around all bundled up and freezing. Crazy...haha.
What a nice surprise to find on your table! Knit the bird a jacket...haha
yes meakea, i am by nature very warm blooded so this to me is even worse than being hot. i too am outside on hot days in a velour jacket that i have never worn since i recieved it as a christmas gift years ago lol (thank gawd i did not throw it out as it has come in handy) i keep asking people if it is too cold in the house, my husband says he has temperature up to where it is bearable for him. i had a green cheek conure bird land on my outside table a few weeks ago and she is now my pet (long story, we found the owners lol) but to make long story short i worry that the bird is also too cold, people tell me no it feels comfortable, but i can't see how, it's FREEZING!!!!
I have the same issue on treatment. Always, always cold. In fact, even on 80+ degree days I'm walking around in a hooded sweatshirt or else huddled in a blanket when resting. I find that when I change position, it makes me get this shivery feeling all over and I get cold again. If I am perfectly still, it seems to subside. Very strange. I'm in week 45 of treatment and this feeling has been with me most of that time.
hey jonney , winner here . ya my fist mabey 2-3 weeks I had the "chatter teeth " also . warm layers ,hot choc ,or tea {even in summer} I heard someone uses a electric blanket . I was wondering how far along you were ,because that was one of the first symptoms to go away .I know what you mean cause I got a good dose of them on shot 17 for some reason ! what a ride ! stay warm & hang tough ,you:ll get thru all this .
Yes, the temperature extremes can be uncomfortable. In the beginning it was bad and I'd shiver with teeth chattering like crazy It will probably subside in time.

When I was treating for cancer I had that problem during chemo infusions. One day the nurse brought me a handmade quilt, and told me the quilting group at the local senior center made them to donate to the cancer center. I cried when she tucked me into that quilt. I still have it, hanging on my office wall. It reminds me how kind people can be to strangers.
