like to ear those thing my husband will start pegases this friday thank you
I did hear on the news here in Canada that a Toronto guy was tested for response to treatment after his first attempt had failed...what happened his first time I don't know but later genetic testing confirmed he would indeed respond to treatment, so he did it and is now undetectable.
As for me I stopped treatment after various stressors began in my family life...not because of my Hep C but in spite of it. lol
I take it as a lesson learned and I will not try treatment again unless it's absolutely necessary and my kids are more dependant and responsible...or move out lol
Also I would like to be genetically tested to see if I indeed would respond to treatment.
here's your info on genetic testing...

if I remember correctly, it was for personal reasons
hi wanpow, can i ask why you only lasted a short time on treatment...it would have really benifited you to stay on...if it was because of anemia your dr really should have put you on procrit and if other sides why couldn't they put you on meds for those? you know these days drs are wiseing up to the ideas that they need to keep their patients on treatment for the whole length of time and treat the side effects with other meds instead of taking them off treatment...
i hope you try again soon and get a dr that will keep you on these meds until your time is up...no matter what they must prescribe for you to help you stay on the treatment.
i'm just curious what happened to you?
