went to 1st hep dr appt. she's scheduling ultrasound and then biopsy for may 10th,ultrasound is next thursday.what does ultrasound show?
she said the better treatment will arrive in 2 years that she hopes i can wait.she said if i have to do 48 week treatment then i will have to take a class, that everybody has to that comes to her...just thought i'd let ya'll know she said the new treatment will eradicate the way this disease is treated,i'll find out more i hope...
i think the ultrasound shows the amount of inflammation of your liver and possibly scaring. i had 2 done, no biggie. i'm sure others will expand. your dr sounds like she has good experience treating hcv patients. if you can avoid Interferon and Riba that would be great. but some of us can't wait to treat.
Ultra sound can tell if there are abnormalities. Like is your liver unusually
larger than normal. If you have signs of fatty liver and sizes of other organs in the area being investigated. All important information to obtain before treatment.
now i know why you should always take someone to doctor,i forgot to ask ALL my questions!i really liked this doctor i hope she's as good as other dr's has said.i wish i didnt have to wait so long for biopsy(may 10).
Glad you like your Doctor. It can get in the way if you don't. Just remember
this is about you and get her e-mail address if you can. Well at least your ulta sound will show if there is something that is obvious. May 10th will be here faster than you think. Learn as much as you can because when your
biopsy comes back...treatment options come with it. If you decide to treat..
The process to treatment kicks into gear.
